The ACS-accredited Department of Chemistry at Muskingum University invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in the Fall semester of 2017. The position is non-tenure track (renewable term), and preference will be given to a biochemist, although expertise in other areas with experience in biochemical applications will also be considered.
Teaching responsibilities will be selected from the candidate’s area(s) of expertise, and will also include introductory chemistry and/or chemistry courses for non-science majors.
A PhD in chemistry or related discipline by the start date is required, along with a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, research, and service to the University. Appointment to these positions is conditional upon the successful completion of a background check through the University’s background check agency.
