Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, College of Science & Engineering, Geographic Information Science Program, is seeking applications for a Professional Assistant Professor of Geographic Information Science position. The appointment can start as early as Fall 2017 and the successful candidate will be expected to support undergraduate mentoring, recruitment, and outreach for the program.

The College of Science & Engineering Geographic Information Science undergraduate degree program is accredited by ABET, Inc. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in a Geospatial Science related field with experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a closely related field, and should have a strong commitment to teaching excellence. A strong candidate should be credentialed as a certified geographic information systems professional (GISP) with an ability to teach in the classroom as well as online.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who have prior experience in teaching geospatial science related courses. Experience teaching geospatial mathematics techniques, geodetic science, geospatial computations and adjustment, design and analysis of GIS applications within an ABET accredited program is desirable.
