Overview

The Geography Department at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Climatology, continuing academic year appointment. Candidates with spatial statistics skills are preferred. Teaching includes courses in support of the minor in Meteorology/Climatology, the Master’s program in Geography, as well as general physical geography courses.

Minimum Qualifications

A Ph.D in Geography with demonstrated interest in Climatology. Persons who have not completed all degree requirements by the beginning of the contract period (ABD) may be considered for a one-year term appointment at the rank of instructor until the degree is completed.

Terms of Appointment

Full-time, tenure track, academic year (nine-month) appointment beginning August 2018.
