Assistant Professor
Anatomy and Physiology – Life Sciences, Fall 2017

Biomedical Sciences at Jefferson College of Health Sciences seeks an Assistant Professor, beginning Fall semester, 2017, to teach human anatomy and physiology. The successful candidate will also be able to teach additional courses in our program, such as general biology, comparative anatomy and physiology, or pathophysiology. A course offering in the candidate’s area of expertise is also possible. Our program is designed to prepare students for medical school or graduate studies in health care and related fields. Duties include teaching lecture and laboratory courses as well as scholarly activity via an undergraduate-centered research program. The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in service to the College through committee work at the program, departmental, and College levels. Service to the community is also valued.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Education: A doctoral degree in a life or related science is required. Postdoctoral research and undergraduate research mentoring experience are especially desirable.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Appropriate to faculty rank

Other Minimum Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Good understanding of educational principles and methodologies. Ability to demonstrate psychomotor skills effectively while explaining steps to learning.
