Overview

The University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College announces two (2) openings for tenure track full-time teaching positions in biology.

One opening is for a faculty member with an emphasis on ecology. This position will require teaching Principles of Biology for non-majors and upper level courses in one or more of the following areas: Botany, Vertebrate Biology, and/or Applied Ecology.

The second opening is for a faculty member with an emphasis on cell and molecular biology.
This position will require teaching two or more of the following courses: Cell and Molecular Biology, Principles of Biology, Principles of Human Anatomy and Physiology and/or Microbiology for Nursing as well as upper level courses in the successful candidate’s field of expertise.

Both positions also involve academic advising and directing undergraduate research projects. Position will be available August 2017.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The positions require a Ph.D. Previous college-level teaching experience and other suitable experience and expertise will be taken into consideration.
