Overview

East Texas Baptist University invites applications for a full-time career-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Chemistry. The position begins January 2018, and will include teaching four courses per semester, participation in departmental reviews, contribution to curriculum development, and student advising duties.

Requirements:
The position requires a doctorate or ABD in chemistry. Courses to be taught included introductory courses in physical science and in lower-level and upper-level chemistry courses. . Candidates with a background in organic chemistry or physical chemistry will be given preference. Teaching experience is preferred and candidates should have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, the ability to communicate well with students and colleagues, an appreciation for Christian higher education, and demonstrate a personal Christian faith. ETBU faculty members are expected to participate in the life of the University via faculty meetings/workshops, academic advising, and in student activities and events.
