Concord University is accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of Chemistry in the Department of Physical Sciences. The position will support majors in chemistry, biology, and environmental geosciences. Teaching duties may include general chemistry, analytical chemistry and instrumental analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary duties include teaching of introductory and advanced courses in chemistry, student advising, campus and professional service, and development of a modest undergraduate research program.
This position requires an earned doctorate in chemistry or a closely related field. Candidates with a record of teaching, scholarship, and demonstrable commitment to undergraduate mentoring preferred.
Candidates who can contribute to student research in environmental chemistry/geochemistry are encouraged to apply.
