Texas Lutheran University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in our new Data Analytics Program which is housed within the Department of Business and Economics. The position begins August 2018. We encourage individuals from a variety of fields to apply. A high priority will be given to candidates with field experience and evidence of success.
TLU is a teaching-focused institution that offers select graduate degrees including the MS in Data Analytics. The degree includes two specializations: Business Analytics and Computation/ Technology. Administratively housed within TLU’s Department of Business and Economics, the degree is cross-disciplinary with the Department of Math and Computer Science. Requirements for the position include:
- Doctoral degree in data analytics or any other field with data analytics application (Master’s degree with substantial analytical experience will be considered.)
- Ability to teach a variety of classes in data analytics, such as ERP, web analytics, financial analytics, R, or data mining
- Commitment to university/community service, business and community outreach, continued professional development, and serving a diverse student body.
- Understanding and support of the mission of Texas Lutheran University.
Preference will be given to candidates who also have 18 graduate hours in a business field, information systems, computer science, or statistics.
