Cecil College, the fastest growing community college in Maryland seeks qualified applicants to fill a full-time Assistant Professor of Mathematics position beginning in the fall of the 2018-2019 academic year. The College is conveniently located half way between the Baltimore and Philadelphia. Responsibilities include: teaching Statistics, developmental and college level math courses, curriculum planning/revision and committee work. Salary: $50,000 with additional consideration, as required, depending on academic preparation and experience. This full-time, 10-month, renewable position begins August 2018.

Master’s Degree in Mathematics or a strongly related field such as Statistics. At least 18 semester hours of graduate level Mathematics and/or Statistics courses taken in a Mathematics Department at an accredited university. Graduate coursework must support the candidate’s ability to teach the full-spectrum of courses offered by the Mathematics Department including statistics, algebra and calculus. Experience teaching Statistics is strongly preferred. College teaching experience is preferred as well as a familiarity with the use of technology (online learning management systems, etc.) in the teaching of Mathematics. Candidates must be willing to teach day and evening classes.
