The NCCU School of Education offers undergraduate, graduate, licensure and professional development programs. The School offers traditional, classroom-based instruction as well as instruction via the internet and teleconferencing. Faculty and staff bring diverse knowledge and experience, provide students with a unique learning experience; teach in small classroom size for easier access to each other and their instructors; and employ the latest technology.

Primary Purpose of PositionThis faculty member will be responsible for providing instruction to Curriculum & Instruction undergraduate and graduate students. He/she will teach undergraduate and graduate students through on-campus and online instruction in the Curriculum & Instruction Department, supervise and advise students in addition to scholarly activities, and service to the University.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe candidate must have strong collaboration skills with university colleagues and public school districts,

Preferred candidates will have experience with online and other technology-assisted instruction.

Minimum Education/Experience

  • A doctorate in Mathematics education
  • A publication record in mathematics education
  • Three (3) or more years of successful public school teaching in the area of mathematics
  • Successful teaching experience at the collegiate level
  • Successful teaching experience with diverse populations

Licenses or Certification required by Statute or RegulationMust hold or be eligible for a DPI license in math or applicable curriculum.
