Quinnipiac University invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position as an Assistant Professor in the Medical Laboratory Sciences M.H.S. Program, within the Department of Biomedical Sciences and the School of Health Sciences. This individual will report directly to the program director. The successful candidate will be responsible primarily for teaching and advising students in the Medical Laboratory Sciences Program, as well as supporting thesis research. The successful candidate should show a record of scholarly productivity within the areas of Microbiology, Immunology and/or Cell Biology.
This is a 12-month faculty position beginning in the Fall of 2017.

Teach graduate courses within the program
Participate in scholarly research in their subject area involving thesis students
Advise students concerning program curriculum requirements, extracurricular opportunities, while staying on track to apply to various advanced degree programs, including PhD programs and medical school
Serve on various program, department and school committees
Participate in student recruitment events such as weekend open houses, presenting occasionally during such information sessions
Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants:
A Ph.D. in a closely related field is required
Teaching experience at the university level in either the fields of Microbiology, Immunology and/or Cell Biology
Demonstrated knowledge of important developments in their fields as evidenced by professional conference attendance, presentations, research, or leadership positions
