Overview

Defiance College invites applications and nominations for a full-time Computer Science faculty member who is interested in an exciting opportunity to develop a Computer Science companion program to our existing Digital Forensic Science Program. Responsibilities for this position include a 24-credit per year teaching load; academic advising; committee work; and service to the college and the wider community. Computer Science faculty will be teamed with experienced Digital Forensic Science faculty and the position will involve significant cross-training. Successful candidates should be versatile, adaptable, prepared to learn while teaching, and have a healthy curiosity about the Digital Forensic Science field as well as their own.

Preferred candidates will have a doctoral degree in computer science or related field; candidates with a master’s degree or ABD status will be considered. Rank and tenure track consideration is commensurate with education and experience. Preference will be given to candidates with significant real-world software solution experience and higher education teaching experience.
