Candidates must possess a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Computer Science.
Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Suite of applications, including Word, Excel, Access, Power point, and be current in emerging fields of Computer Science.
A background in computer programming is desired, with priority being given to candidates with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: networking, mobile development, web and social networking, computer gaming and graphics, or cyber security.
A minimum of three years, or equivalent, of full-time successful teaching experience is required. Community College teaching experience is preferred.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
Teach courses in Computer Science, recruit, retain, and advise students, develop curricula, and participate in departmental and college governance as part of a team. The faculty member will also participate in departmental and college governance as part of a team. The faculty member will also participate in outreach and contribute to departmental, college, and community service. In these and other ways, the faculty member will help to develop innovative approaches to enhancing student engagement, increasing diversity, and expanding collaborations with community and business partners.
