The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences ( JSMBS) at the State University of New York at Buffalo invites applications for a full time (12 month) faculty position in the Department of Biochemistry at the rank of Lecturer (non-tenure track). We seek a truly outstanding teacher to foster the education mission of the Department. The hired individual will teach biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology at the undergraduate and professional levels in both large and small group settings. In addition, this person will be a leader in curriculum development and student advising. He/she will participate in seminars, faculty meetings, committee work and other departmental activities.

The faculty is a collegial, interactive group that applies modern biochemical principles to a broad range of research areas. The 24 faculty members teach and train graduate, undergraduate and professional students. A flagship institution in the State University of New York system, UB is the largest and most comprehensive campus in the 64-campus SUNY system. The JSMBS is currently located on the University’s South Campus, and will expand to the downtown Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in early 2018. Teaching activities will occur on both campuses.

Minimum QualificationsPh.D. or M.D. degree. Teaching Experience Required.
