The Biology and Clinical Laboratory Science departments are seeking a technologically diverse individual with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, as well as student learning and success who can teach a variety of courses within the Biology and Clinical Laboratory Science departments. The primary responsibilities consist of teaching lecture and lab components of Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology. Instructors are involved with laboratory maintenance and planning. This position is a one-year temporary assignment.
This position requires a wide range of professional responsibilities and activities, including participation in and attendance at department and college meetings, participation in department committees, student advising and other duties as assigned.
Instructors are expected to participate in College and Departmental assessment initiatives.
Teaching assignments may be on the Middletown or Newburgh campus or both as well as off campus sites, day or evening.
Requirements: Master’s Degree or higher in Biology or related discipline. Teaching experience.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics: Ph.D. in Biology or related field. College teaching experience, strong knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology with clinical experience. Strong leadership qualities. Bilingual skills.
