Overview

Ripon College, a Phi Beta Kappa undergraduate liberal-arts college with a history of commitment to excellence in undergraduate education, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate position in Physics, beginning Fall 2018.

The ideal candidate will have an active scholarly agenda with a record of peer-reviewed publications, a record of excellent teaching at the undergraduate level, and experience developing a research program that involves undergraduate students. All Ripon College faculty advise students, provide service to the college, and contribute to our distinctive core curriculum. The expected teaching load is 6 courses per year or equivalent. Ph.D required. We seek to add a faculty member in experimental physics to complement existing strengths in atomic physics and ultra-fast laser techniques. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, biologically relevant systems, soft matter, and condensed matter physics. Faculty members are expected to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching of courses, student mentoring, and service.
