The Department of Computer Science invites applications for a full-time teaching faculty position in introductory computing. The department, housed in the College of Computing & Informatics, offers BS, BA, MS, and PhD degrees in computer science, as well as BS and MS degrees in software engineering.
Evaluation of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Successful applicants must demonstrate potential for teaching excellence in the environment of a major research university.
Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field required
For this position, we are seeking a leader and innovator for Computing and Informatics education for our introductory computing and informatics courses. Areas of relevant teaching expertise include foundational concepts in computing and informatics, computer programming, and principles of computing. It is highly desired that the candidate have experience and interest in working with a diverse student population in an engaging way that inspires students to pursue education and careers in computing and informatics. Responsibilities for this position include course and curriculum development.
