Position Overview and Required Qualifications:

The Department of Physics at Boise State University seeks a computational physicist with a research program in hard or soft condensed-matter physics, a PhD in physics or a closely related discipline, an undergraduate degree in physics, and subsequent research experience. This is a tenure-track physics faculty position, preferably at the rank of Assistant Professor, which starts in August 2018. Building a vigorous externally-funded research program that engages undergraduate physics majors and PhD students in Boise State’s multidisciplinary Materials Sciences & Engineering PhD program is essential, together with a passion for teaching and a strong interest in interdisciplinary collaborations.
