Job Summary:

The Mathematics Department of Touro College, Lander College for Men (LCM) invites applications for Assistant Professor of Mathematics. The candidate should have majored in Mathematics, with specialty in Actuarial Studies. The job will require teaching “higher level” mathematics courses and actuarial specialty courses. The candidate will be asked to advise and mentor students, in particular towards the series of actuarial examinations, as the appropriate topics are covered. In addition, the position requires developing and
administering curriculum modifications, aiding students in doing independent study projects, scholarly work, and evidence of research potential.  Teach mathematics courses per semester, depending upon the administrative load. Advise and mentor students at the undergraduate level

Education, Preparation, and Training. PhD in mathematics. Engaged in an active research program.  Knowledge of and work experience in actuarial science is a major asset
