Pacific Lutheran University invites applications for two 9-month positions as visiting assistant professor/instructor beginning September 1, 2017; one full-time and one part-time.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Teach CSCI 144 (Introduction to Computer Science) in the fall and spring. Teach additional courses such as CSCI 131(Introduction to Engineering) and a non-majors course.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Commitment to excellence in teaching and a strong interest in liberal arts education.

Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in computer science or related subdiscipline (e.g. electrical engineering) from an accredited institution must be in hand by September 1, 2017 for appointment at the Visiting Assistant Professor level. Master’s degree is required by September 1, 2017 for appointment at the Instructor level.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
