VIRGINIA WESLEYAN COLLEGE ( www.vwc.edu) invites applications for the position of Visiting Instructor of Mathematics. This position is a one-year renewable appointment with a teaching load of three courses (4 credits each) per semester. A Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics is required. The position begins in August 2017.

Virginia Wesleyan is Coastal Virginia’s premier private, national liberal arts college, offering 33 majors, 30 minors and seven pre-professional programs. Affiliated with the United Methodist Church and located on a 300-acre wooded campus on the border of Norfolk/Virginia Beach, the College enrolls approximately 1,400 students.

The College seeks a candidate with a strong commitment to teaching. Teaching responsibilities may include lower-level mathematics (through Calculus II) and statistics. Candidates with a PhD may have the opportunity to teach upper level courses. Participation in the life of the department is also expected.
