Assistant or Associate Professor of Chemistry

Description: King University invites applications for a full-time appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences beginning in August 2027; with potential to start August 2026 or January 2027 depending on candidate availability. ABD candidates encouraged to apply. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should be ABD or possess the Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or a closely-related field and have the ability to teach General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and other upper-level chemistry courses. Applicants should exhibit an enthusiasm for teaching and an interest in supervising undergraduate research.

Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Chemistry with a focus on Organic Chemistry, one or more years of full-time teaching experience, and experience leading undergraduate research.

Responsibilities: The appointed applicant will teach courses and laboratory sections for majors and non-majors, design and revise courses, contribute to program evaluation, participate in student advising and mentoring, and hold at least five office hours per week.
