Assistant Professor of Geographic Information Science

The Department of Geography at Northwest Missouri State University is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Geographic Information Science.

Responsibilities

• Teach twelve hours per semester (fall and spring), including advanced undergraduate and graduate geography courses such as Geographic Information Systems, Digital Cartography and Geovisualization, and Fundamentals of Geostatistics
• Conduct research leading to peer-reviewed publications
• Participate in university service and committee work
• Advise students and develop online course offerings

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Geography, Geographic Information Science, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated ability teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at the college level
• Demonstrated ability teaching online courses at the college level
