The Department of Geography at Northwest Missouri State University is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Geographic Information Science.
Responsibilities
- Teach twelve hours per semester (fall and spring), including advanced undergraduate and graduate geography courses such as Geographic Information Systems, Digital Cartography and Geovisualization, and Fundamentals of Geostatistics
- Conduct research leading to peer-reviewed publications
- Participate in university service and committee work
- Advise students and develop online course offerings
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Geography, Geographic Information Science, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated ability teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at the college level
- Demonstrated ability teaching online courses at the college level
