Applicants are sought for the position of tenure-track Professor of Nuclear Engineering. Interested candidates must have a PhD in Nuclear Engineering or in a closely related field. The area of specialization of particular need is nuclear weapons and effects. Areas of interest include but are not limited to:

  • Radiation Transport
  • Prompt and Residual Effects of Nuclear Weapons
  • Nuclear Forensics
  • Radiation Effects on Electronics
  • Active and Passive Radiation Detection
  • Radiological Source Term Characterization
  • Development of Computational Methods and Tools for these areas

The successful applicant will teach and establish funded research in support of our nuclear engineering program. We offer MS (ABET accredited) and PhD degrees in nuclear engineering.
