Overview

Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Physics in the Department of Chemistry and Physics. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a research program involving undergraduate students and students enrolled in the Masters of Integrated Science and Technology program, teach undergraduate-level courses and possibly graduate-level courses, and perform activities of service to the Department, University, and community. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to working in a community where diversity, inclusion, and equity are valued and celebrated.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in physics or a closely related discipline
Credentials that warrant appointment at the academic rank of Assistant Professor

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to candidates with undergraduate teaching experience, as well as a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and research.
