Tulane University’s Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences seeks to fill a Professor of Practice position to begin in July 2020. The position is a non-tenured, full-time academic year (nine month) teaching position with renewable 3-year appointments. The responsibilities of this position include teaching courses related to the department’s GIS Certificate Program, teaching courses in the applicant’s area of specialization, and service to the educational mission of the department and university. Opportunities exist for advising undergraduate research and development of service-learning courses. Applicants will be expected to teach introductory and advanced GIS courses.
A doctoral degree in an environmental science or related field is required.
