Quincy University, a Franciscan institution, is seeking to fill a tenure-track position in computer science and cybersecurity at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.

Responsibilities: Lead the development of a new B.S. in Cybersecurity and new coursework in cybersecurity and computer science; teach multiple cybersecurity-related courses; assist with the establishment of a new Cybersecurity/Computer Science lab.

Teach 6-12 hours per semester, engage in scholarly activity, perform university service, and participate in university activities. This is a 12-month position initially funded in part by a U.S. Department of Education Title III grant.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field; work experience plus knowledge of best practices in the field of cybersecurity with a minimum of 3 years preferred; experience in college course development and/or instruction with a minimum of 2 years preferred. Candidates will have a commitment to the liberal arts tradition, an enthusiasm for teaching undergraduates, and an interest in fostering the development of student skills in cybersecurity for graduate school and the workforce.

Position Start Date: Negotiable; January through May 2019
