Essential Responsibilities

• The position reports directly to the Dean of the School of Science, Math, and Engineering. The instructor will teach 15 load hours per semester of Survey of Physics, Algebra-based and Calculus-based introductory physics courses with their associated labs.

Responsibilities include developing and revising instructional materials using the Canvas LMS; holding a minimum of 5 office hours per week; maintaining and reporting student grades; assisting in recommending and orienting part-time faculty; engaging in professional development; organizing and maintaining program curricula; and serving on college councils and committees. Day and evening classes can be expected. Instruction will primarily be face-to-face with instruction at the Main Campus and at satellite centers. Perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications

• A master's degree in physics (or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in physics content) is required.
• The successful candidate will have experience working with Native American, Latinx, and other adult/minority students; and have a strong commitment to the community college philosophy.
• Access to home internet, a personal computer, and telephone is required.
