Overview

The Atmospheric Sciences Program within the School of Sciences at the University ofLouisiana at Monroe (ULM) is seeking an innovative individual for a tenure-track  position in atmospheric sciences. The School of Sciences offers a bachelor’s degree inatmospheric sciences. The Atmospheric Sciences Program maintains severalinstrumentation platforms used for both research and education, including a S-bandpolarimetric Doppler weather radar, mobile Doppler wind lidar system, microwaveradiometer, lidar ceilometer, and radiosonde systems. The Program is also leading thedeployment and management of a state environmental mesonet.

  • Teach undergraduate courses during the fall and spring semester.
  • Mentor students in undergraduate research.
  • Pursue a program of scholarly research and publication.
  • Assist in all areas of program improvement, including participation in curriculumdevelopment, evaluation, and assessment.
  • Actively participate in recruitment for the Atmospheric Sciences degree program.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
